If you are new to this site, please note not all entries are posted to Twitter and Facebook but you can always come to the blog and post entries of interest to your FB page, tweet or email. Also, take note of Share Your Story where you can send in pictures of assignments, assessments, textbooks, lesson plans, etc. North Carolina took a major step towards replacing Common Core but our work is not done. Removing Common Core Standards from our General Statutes was critically important. We must continue to inform friends and neighbors about Common Core, assessments and student data collection. Until North Carolina Standards are re-written and approved by the State Board of Education, Common Core Standards will remain in place. Who will be appointed to the Academics Standards Review Commission? Will the Commission be receptive to public input?
