We Will Not Conform Resources and Action Plan

We Will Not Conform

Welcome newcomers and loyal readers! Did you attend We Will Not Conform? The We Will Not Conform Resources (WWNC) and Action Plan will be included on our Resources page.  If you are new to this site, please note not all entries are posted to Twitter and Facebook but you can always come to the blog and post entries of interest to your FB page, tweet or email. Also, take note of Share Your Story where you can send in pictures of assignments, assessments, textbooks, lesson plans, etc. North Carolina took a major step towards replacing Common Core but our work is not done. Removing Common Core Standards from our General Statutes was critically important. We must continue to inform friends and neighbors about Common Core, assessments and student data collection.  Until North Carolina Standards are re-written and approved by the State Board of Education, Common Core Standards will remain in place. Who will be appointed to the Academics Standards Review Commission? Will the Commission be receptive to public input?

Are you overwhelmed and not sure where to start? Visit the videos on our resources page, some of which are below:

Watch and share these with your family and friends

Explore the resources page at your convenience. The Pioneer Institute White Papers are excellent.

In the WWNC_Action_Plan (draft) are other links and my fellow writer Andrea Dillon, aka LadyLiberty1885 was part of the messaging panel. I’m sure she will be sharing lots of information with us.

On the top right section of our site, use the search box and also note the Common Core Toolkit  to learn more the standards, assessments and student data collection. This should be enough to get you started.

Lastly, if you missed WWNC, there will be another showing on July 29th, bring a friend with you.

  • We attended the showing of WWNC last night at Edward’s Cinema in Fresno, California. Well done! It was good to see the faces of the names from FB postings!
BTW, our action group for Fresno-Clovis, formed last August, is ADVOCATESfor EXCELLENCE inEDUCATION.
Central California could be called “Ground Zero” for CCSSI, since the groundwork was being laid here well back to 2008, and earlier.

  • @ Patrick, glad to see you meet up with your FB contacts. I like the name of your action group, it has a positive message. I don’t know how ofter you read our blog but Andrea Dillon lead writer here participated in the WWNC event on the messaging panel. One action your group might want to take up is to contact your State Board of Education to inquire about the changes to the AP US History Framework and exam. See http://stopcommoncorenc.org/changes-to-ap-history-framework-jane-robbins-interview/ If people across the country call State Boards, maybe we can stop this from being implemented and force a revision to a more appropriate framework. I hope teachers speak up as well. History is so important. Our students should be taught our Founding Documents, as well as good and bad parts of our history. Historical events should be taught in proper context.

As far as CC history goes, NC was well out in front, see http://stopcommoncorenc.org/common-core-student-data-tracking-nc-beginnings/ and if you are really interested, research our former Gov. Jim Hunt.

  • Let’s also be concerned with Common Core and the connection with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is listed as a terrorist organization in Egypt but it is not in the United States! WHY?
The MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD CREED is the same in all 100 nations they claim to be working, including Egypt which declared them a terrorist organization on December 25, 2013 however, our government, Democrat and Republican invited them into the U.S. government to set policy. “Allah is our objective, the prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, Jihad is our way, dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope”
Start by reading “MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD GROUP TO CONNECT ALL U.S. SCHOOLS’ – Partners with State, Education departments on international initiative, published: 01/23/2013 by Aaron Klein.
Why are we failing to mention the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization in Egypt but not here in the United States? Why? They wrote a plan to destroy us and it was presented in the largest terrorist financing trial in U.S. history and the plan was never contested in court nor during the appeals process so that makes it a true and factual document but yet, neither the House nor the Senate will hold hearings on the plan or the Muslim Brotherhood! Why? Does it concern you that U.S. Department of Education and the State Department are linking up with the Muslim Brotherhood? What about Vartan Gregorian, a board member of the organization, the Qatar Foundation International, who was appointed in 2009 to President Obama’s White House Fellowships Commission?

Gregorian wants Shariah/Islamic law to be a world domination and a global caliphate, an ummah.

Gregorian is the author of “Islam: A Mosaic, Not A Monolith.” According to a book review by the Middle East Forum, his book “establishes the Islamist goal of world domination.”
A chapter of the book, “Islamism: Liberation Politics,” quotes Ayatollah Khomeini: “Islam does not conquer. Islam wants all countries to become Muslim, of themselves.” Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, is quoted stating it “is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its laws on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”
Gregorian himself recommends for Muslims a system he calls “theo-democracy,” which he defines as “a divine democratic government” that, according to the book review, “would have a limited popular sovereignty under the suzerainty of Allah.”
Gregorian is connecting schools to fulfill Obama pledge!

The Qatar Foundation International, or QFI, in 2011 partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through something called the “Connect All Schools” project.
QFI, funded by the Qatari government, explains on its website the initiative was founded in response to Obama’s call in his June 2009 speech to the Arab world in Cairo, Egypt, to “create a new online network, so a young person in Kansas can communicate instantly with a young person in Cairo.”

  • Thank you for the We Will Not Conform movie! The group I’m working with here in California showed up to both viewings in July wearing our Stop Common Core t-shirts and collected contact info from fellow movie attendees after the show.

We are excited to be hosting Dr. Duke Pesta coming to speak in Orange County this October! Anyone who lives in California and wants to be added to our contact list can send a message to fcsconcernedparents@gmail.com.

We also have a facebook page for each of the 58 counties in California for parents to get connected locally titled “____ County against Common Core”. Just enter your County name and “against Common Core” and it should pop up.

Thank you to all the teachers, parents and educators who care about our children enough to get involved!
